Nicotine levels
In the production of e-liquid, we do not work with pure nicotine, fortunately. It is already diluted in PG but is however difficult to handle. The bases are proposed with multiple nicotine levels: 0 mg / ml to 18 mg / ml or more (to be handled with extreme caution in this case).
The rule when buying the highly concentrated nicotine PG is pre-diluted to systematically avoid incidents dosing or handling. It is advisable to use the same rates when shopping for e-liquids ready.
You can get a nicotine other than rates usually 3 (6, 12 and 18mg / ml) by mixing two bases with different nicotine levels. For example, if you want e-liquid nicotine 10 ml rate of 9 mg / ml, mix 5 ml of base 18 mg with 5 ml of a base at 0 mg.
For example from 12 mg / ml nicotine, one will take a 12 mg / ml in 100% PG and a 12 mg / ml in 100% VG is 12 + 12 = 24/2 = 12 mg / ml nicotine.
Another example; if you want the 6 mg / ml of nicotine, it is similar: 6 + 6 = 12/2 = 6 mg / ml nicotine.
And finally, if you will, for example, 9 mg / ml: 18 + 0 = 18/2 = 9 mg / ml by mixing course in basic 50% VG and 50% PG or he must get out his calculator and make scientific calculations …
To calculate the rate of nicotine from a mixture, a simple calculation of nicotine is necessary
= Final Rate (liquid nicotine base rate x amount of basic nicotine liquid) / (total amount of e-liquid).
An example: we bought a bottle of PG nicotine 18 mg / ml. We put basic nicotine liquid 10ml, 15ml PG, VG 5ml and 1ml of flavor.
Final Rate = (10 x 18) / (10 + 15 + 5 + 1) = approx. 6mg / ml.
Always calculate the nicotine content of your e-liquid before tasting it.
For information :
• If you are very heavily dependent on nicotine and smoking have the abitude brown without filters, we advise you to opt for e-liquids dosed initially at 18 mg / ml of nicotine.
• If you are used to smoking conventional blondes like Camel or Marlboro Red, we recommend e-liquid dosed at 12 mg / ml of nicotine.
• If you are weakly dependent on nicotine or accustomed to the Light, e-liquid dosed at 6 mg / ml of nicotine will be sufficient.
• If you are not addicted to nicotine or want to get rid of nicotine addiction, you can try the e-liquid without nicotine. The absence of nicotine decrease the hit, so prefer strong flavors like mint or mint icy-tobacco blends.
This information is to be taken lightly. Indeed, the biggest atomizers used in high operating ranges will produce a lot of steam and you will drastically reduce the amount of nicotine for not coughing. Most users rebuildable atomizer vapent on nicotine 0.3mg bases, the minimum, which is often more than enough.
If you are a non smoker, absolutely avoid nicotines e-liquids. At regular smoking, the number of nicotinic receptors is increased significantly limiting the effects of nicotine but for a non smoking, the risk of addiction and overdose is real!
